Just glad I could help.

When else in human history could a person sitting at home in Pennsylvania in the middle of winter contribute to the search for a lost sailor in the Pacific?

If you've been following the search for Jim Gray over the past week or so, you're probably aware that Amazon's Mechanical Turk was used to distribute the load of reviewing satellite photos looking for Jim's lost boat:

During the last 5 days, Mechanical Turk workers looked at more than 560,000 images from 3 satellites, covering nearly 3,500 square miles of ocean. A group of experts is currently reviewing the images that workers identified, and sending their results to the appropriate authorities.

I did about 230 of these while the kids were in the bath tub the other night. I'm just glad I could help. Godspeed, Jim.
