Netflix offers $1 million for a better review | CNET News.com

Back in March, I wrote:
I've rated 927 movies in my Netflix account. You'd think that'd be enough for them to have some idea of what I like to watch. In fact, only one of the movies in at least 3 pages of recommendations was even remotely interesting to me. They seem to have me stuck in a "if you like a couple tv shows on DVD you'll like all TV-to-DVD series". If the key to attention is collaborative filtering, this needs a lot of work.
So I must say, the money will be well spent if this works:
Netflix offers $1 million for a better review | CNET News.com: "Netflix, the popular online movie rental service, is planning to award $1 million to the first person who can improve the accuracy of movie recommendations based on personal preferences."
