TiVo mobile: Good idea, but I don't need it anymore

Ten years ago, my wife and I used to talk about how cool it'd be to have a VCR with an IVR system so we could call it and program it over the phone when we forgot to set it up in advance. TiVo mobile pretty much gets us there.

Except...I'm not a Verizon customer, I wouldn't be willing to pay $5 a month for it, and (most important) I already have TiVo set up with all the season passes I want. Largely because of TiVo, I've stopped thinking about when shows are on entirely. I haven't had a "I forgot to record foo" moment in almost 5 years. Oh well.
